Stone floor restoration at Killruddery house
Stone floor restoration
The Orangery, Killruddery House.
We are proud to have been selected by Killruddery House to restore the floor of their magnificent Orangery. Built in 1852 by William Burn and taking inspiration from London’s Crystal Palace, the Orangery is a stunning venue for weddings and events. As the stone floor receives significant foot traffic, we repaired and re-bedded loose tiles and cracks, then polished, colour-enhanced, and resealed the entire surface to provide long-lasting protection. Due to the historical significance of the building, only repairing and re-bedding of tiles that were a safety concern was our priority.
Working alongside the skilled team at Killruddery House & Gardens was a pleasure, and we are delighted to have been a part of this restoration project.
Marble restoration, or natural stone floor restoration such as Travertine, Crema marfil, Limestone, Granite, Terrazzo etc, is the art of restoring worn, dull and scratched tiles to their original condition. Marble and natural stone floors are an expensive and luxurious item and you should only entrust their restoration to an experienced and knowledgeable professional.
Most marble and natural stone floors and surfaces can be revitalised and returned to their original state. When installed and cared for correctly, your stone or marble floor should last a lifetime. We have cleaned, polished, sealed, repaired, and restored thousands of marble and stone floors, dating from the 1700s to modern times. All our operatives have undergone extensive training and have many years experience restoring and conserving stone and marble floors.
As a Heritage Contractor, we preserve the past by using the least intrusive cleaning and restoration methods.
