Public park cleaned and sealed
People’s Park in Dún Laoghaire is a beautiful landscaped park – open to locals and visitors alike. It comes alive every Sunday, as market vendors bring their colourful collection of food and crafts to this most beautiful park. This, together with the very popular new playground and Tea Rooms, contributes significantly to the popularity of the park.
However, this amount of traffic and market stalls can leave its mark on the environment. People’s Park is covered in a granite surface and granite cobblelock, which becomes grimy with grease, oil and general dirt. P Mac were contracted by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to carry out a deep clean of the granite surfaces.
Our method was to apply a heavy-duty acid plus other chemicals in order to give the surface a deep clean, remove all staining and give it the “bling” effect. The chemicals were then washed off with steam to avoid damage to the surface. Once dry, we sealed with an impregnating seal. The results speak for themselves, and we hope they make your next trip to the park all that more enjoyable.
