Preserving Ireland’s Heritage

PMAC’s Work on Iconic Buildings and Monuments
For over 26 years, PMAC has helped conserve and restore many of Ireland’s most valued buildings and monuments. As registered heritage contractors, we build our reputation on skill, respect for tradition, and a strong focus on safety and quality. In addition, we hold ISO and Safe-T certifications, which reflect our high standards. Our team includes trained craftspeople who care deeply about Ireland’s history. As a result, we continue to take on important projects across the country.
Recently, we completed several standout projects in Dublin and beyond. These projects not only improved the condition of historic sites but also highlighted the importance of protecting cultural heritage. Therefore, each project plays a role in preserving these landmarks for future generations.
The Rotunda Room, City Hall Dublin
The Rotunda Room in Dublin City Hall is known for its beauty and detail. It features intricate mosaic floors and well-known statues. During this project, we carefully cleaned and restored each statue. At the same time, we renewed and sealed the marble and mosaic flooring.
Throughout the process, we worked with great care to respect the original design. As a result, the space now looks refreshed while still keeping its historic character.

Statues and Monuments on Dame Street
In addition, we worked on monuments along Dame Street near Trinity College Dublin. This included the statue of Thomas Davis and the three herald figures. Because these sculptures sit outdoors, they face constant exposure to weather and pollution.
Therefore, they require specialist cleaning to prevent damage. Our work helped reveal the fine detail in each piece. As a result, the craftsmanship behind these monuments is now easier to appreciate.

St. Martin’s Church, Culmullen County Meath
Beyond Dublin, we restored the facade and bell tower of St. Martin’s Church. This Gothic-style church remains an important part of the local community.
During the project, we repaired and cleaned the stonework to improve both strength and appearance. Consequently, the building now stands in better condition. In addition, our work helps protect it for years to come.

Continuing a Legacy of Care
From major landmarks to local churches, our work goes far beyond simple repair. Instead, it reflects our commitment to preserving Ireland’s heritage. Each project shows how important it is to protect these structures.
At PMAC, we combine traditional skills with modern methods. As a result, we help ensure that these historic sites remain strong, beautiful, and valued for generations.
