Restoration of crooked granite steps on Heytesbury Street

Client: Residential Customer

200 year old granite steps had completely sunk over time and were very crooked. All goings and risers completely out of sink.

All granite steps had to be lifted to investigate underneath, some weighing up to 300 kg

200 year build up of coal, dirt and mortar was revealed.

The biggest part of the project was cleaning away all this debris.

Once cleared the steps were re-bedded and aligned.

Now the most crooked steps on the street are transformed into the most beautiful granite steps on the street
