Heritage stone wall dismantled in parts, numbered and rebuilt. Damaged masonry was replaced with tiles leaving previous brick repairs exposed.

Stone wall restoration

With our stone restoration, we try and return the stone to like new condition. While stone is a hard wearing material it can lose its beauty due to accidental damage, high footfall, incorrect cleaning and everyday wear and tear. Once we have cleaned the masonry and exposed the substrate we can start the restoration process. Re-pointing is the process of renewing the pointing in masonry construction. Over time, weathering and decay cause voids in the joints between bricks, allowing the undesirable entrance of water. Water entering through these voids cause significant damage.
